What is Lactose Intolerance?
Lactose intolerance is inability to digest significant amounts of lactose which is primary sugar in milk. This inability results from a shortage of the enzyme lactase, which is normally produced by the cells that line the small intestine. Lactase breaks down lactose into simpler forms that can then be absorbed into bloodstream during digestive process. Common symptoms of lactose intolerance include nausea, cramps, bloating, gas and diarrhoea.

Each 300 ml bottle of LactoTest contains 50 g of lactose. This is the recommended dose for the performance of oral lactose tolerance test for adults.
LactoTest is packed in a 300 ml PET bottle – light and practical package. The drink has a natural slight yellow colour (it’s a lactose feature) and orange flavour. It is easy to drink and more pleasant when the drink cold.

For the performance of oral lactose tolerance test standard dose for an adult is a bottle of 300 ml/50g of lactose.
For children the dose is from 6,0 ml (1,0 g of lactose) to 12 ml (2,0 g lactose) for 1 kg of body weight, not exceeding 50 g.
Storage and shelf life: LactoTest can be stored at room temperature for 24 months after production. Keep away from light.
